All you have to do is turn the 9x13 pan one quarter turn and you'll then have a 13x 9 pan. Easy peasy.

I wish I could be there when the light bulb goes on over berta's head. {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Okay, I understand this may offend someone, but I have never laughed out loud so hard at anything on this forum. Granted, there are no such things as stupid questions, but there sure are some funny ones.

Probably a silly question but.......is there much of a difference between 10:45 and quarter to 11:00?

You are right previous poster - no such thing as stupid ???? but sure are some funny ones.

Berta happy anniversary - same pan, just described differently.

Re: Probably a silly question!

Hey you guys.........This is not the first person to ask this question, and I do remember a large post in the past asking the same question, and if it is length times width, or width times length......I can understand, if you are not a frequent baker........I have seen it written many times both ways, and I can understand the confusion..........I still to this day see it written both ways. Yes..........I understand they are the same pan, but if you were taught one way in algebra, and something calls for another way.........WELL.....hopefully you can understand, and understand that this is not truly a joke to some..........Remember the old saying that a brainy person can not pour out of a boot with the directions on the heel.......Simple for me...but not always simple for some.........Wink

Re: Probably a silly question!

I hope the poster knows we're laughing with her and not at her… she probably doesn't and I'm sorry if her feelings are hurt. We have all asked those ""duh"" questions here on the boards. Sometimes a thing can be completely confuddling at one moment and the next moment you are wondering how you couldn't have known it.

I'm so glad you see it that way, berta! Please don't ever stop asking questions. I've learned so much from the questions that have been asked on the forum.

Have a great evening.. hope to see you here often.

Won't happen. The bulb is burnt out.
