I couldn't believe I saw that way expensive line at Tues. Morning yesterday.

Even on clearance the big ol' heavy ss skillet was still 200 ! Big one.

Had another Viking piece dutch oven and it was still in the hundreds.

I won't pay that for pots and pans.

@SharkElol  I certainly won't either.  I cook in very small quantities 99.9% of the time.

If I suddenly lose 40 years and gain 40 million dollars  - maybe.

I don't use that cheapie , cheapie stuff like at dollar store LOL

but, I don't believe in Le Cruset , Viking and that one brand that Q had with that bald headed man that was over 1,000 a set.

Bed & Bath items, sam's club, everythingkitchens, is good enough.

When I saw the headline here on Viking cookware I had to click on it.  I spent the better part of my day yesterday online looking for some new coookware, a couple of new pots, the same for skillets.

My big thing is attempting to find cookware made in the USA.  SO MANY brands including some "green" wares are made in China.  I cannot trust my cookware to come from China, then I'm going to put my food in them, cook it, then feed it to myself & DH, just can't do it.

Viking and All-Clad are two that are made here in the United States but it's all SO expensive, I can't afford either brand.  I also want white ceramic inside (or porceline). I think Rachael Ray's brand is USA made too.

@SharkE I bought a lovely Viking pot at Tuesday Morning a few years ago and just love it and know I will have it forever.  I couldn't believe my good luck in finding it but that is why I love Tuesday Morning as they do have a tendency to come up with some great buys on Viking and Le Creuset (not sure if I have ever seen All Clad there now that I am thinking about it).

If anyone is interested, they do send out a weekly email ad that will highlight when these pieces come in . . . Smiley Happy

You would be surprised at how much of our food comes from China, including some produce items.  That bothers me way more than cookware.

We don't have one here in Amarillo, but, my sister up in Ind. said you'd be surprised what you can find at Marshall's back in their little area for discounts.  Same goes for Burlington's they have a little area of discounted name brands that I assume didn't sell at the high end stores because of the cost, so, they end up in the bargain areas of lesser stores
