While pretty that is not what I would call a crockpot.  Looks like a old fashioned dutch oven or as my mom used to call it a roasting pan.

Folks, it's made by Crockpot! I didn't realize that either, but then @SharkE said something to that effect in a reply here.  Also, if you look carefully, you can see the word "CROCKPOT" embossed on the top.

@SharkE, I agree that it's really pretty.

Ohhh...It's Crockpot brand!

I have a cast iron/enamel dutch oven called Chantal which I've used for 25 years.  It was a gift from a girlfriend, and I doubt she paid more than $39 for it.  I don't think I've made a bad pot of stew or soup in it.  "Twould be nice to have the high end one, Calphalon I guess it is, but I cannot imagine it would cook any better than mine.  Might be prettier though.

It is pretty, but it is a Dutch Oven no matter who makes it.

Not a crockpot. But it's pretty.

Looks like a Dutch Oven to me too.  There was a time I would have loved a complete set of LeCreuset, but now I'm glad I don't have it.  It's way too heavy for me to deal with now.

I think Melamine was banned or discontinued or something-it was supposedly toxic.

@Judaline    I think you're mistaken.  QVC has 103 Melamine items listed for sale.
