I finally got my electric pressure cooker out of the box, and used it this AM. I don't know why but I was a little intimidated by this machine. It was actually pretty easy to figure out. I found a recipe for split pea soup on the internet, and had it for lunch. I' m anxious to try other recipes, now that I have learned how to operate this beast. 🍵🍵

@QVCkitty1

The same thing hapened to me-I had mine for 2 months-till one day I just did it. I made chicken pot pie-it was delicious-I made it a second time-

I have to find other things to make-it's so much fun!

What is the recipe for the split pea soup?

1 onion, chopped

3 carrots sliced

3 ribs celery sliced

2 cloves garlic minced

1lb. Split peas

2Tbs. Oil

1 bay leaf

1/2 Tbs. smoked paprika

1/4 teaspoon. Thyme

pepper

6 cups chicken or veg. Broth

I threw it all in the pot and used the soup setting, I also added some chopped ham, though it didn' call for it.

Congratulations on initiating your new toy!   It's hard for me to imagine a kitchen without a PC since I've been using one over 50 years without incident.   There are thousands of recipes online so just Google what you want to make and have fun.

Mine is a Farberware from Walmart and the soup default time is 35 min.
