I have a Cook.s Essentials 6 qt oval pressure cooker. I do love it for stews, pot roast, chicken from frozen state! However, it takes about 15 minutes to come up to pressure. That doesn't particularly bother me when cooking the above things since they take more time than that anyway. Is that a normal time to come to pressure? I use the right amount of liquid, don't overload, etc. That being said, if it takes some ? amount of minutes to come to pressure, whatever that amount is, how can they say it would take 2 minutes for corn on the cob? Won't the time for the unit to come up to pressure make moosh out of the corn - after all it IS getting very hot? I've always wondered about that.....
