I bought a bag of powdered cheese because I love cheddar popcorn. Figured I'd sprinkle some of the cheese on my popcorn, but I have a really big bag. Anyone have other uses for it?Could I use when making bread in a machine?

I answered my own question and found lots of uses for this stuff. I'll pass on the Mac & cheese; I prefer the creamy kind. Here are a ton of ideas in case anyone is interested. One person mentions cheese bread but doesn't say how she did it.

Where did you find a bag of cheddar powder? I've never seen it in my grocery stores>

Cabot carries powdered WHITE cheddar in 8oz containers with a screw cap that you can shake or spoon out. I generally get 6 or 8 containers in fall or early spring when they have a good sale, % off coupon AND free shipping. At the same time, I also get some of the Cabot cheeses that aren't carried locally. It does have disodium phosphate, but that's necessary to keep the opened product from caking.

Supposed to be kept 'cool and dry'. Because I try to keep my large freezer fully packed all the time, I store the unopened containers in the freezer, the opened one in refrigerator.

Smart & Final, DeKalb Farmers Market, Whole Foods also carry powdered cheddar.

Thank you. Whole Foods is the only grocery name I recognize. The next time I'm in the neighborhood I'll stop in to check it out.

I got mine on Amazon.com but it's widely available online. I read somewhere not to add it directly to liquid because it just clumps.
