Postpone Now You're Cooking Day??

Maybe it is just me, but with everyone trying to get groceries and supplies, should QVC host an entire day of food preparation?  I guess if the crew eats it, it won't go to waste but they DO utilize ALOT of food for an all day event.  Perhaps it will be donated to a shelter? I know they get a huge audience with those days but we are in difficult times.  Stay well everyone!

I was trying to understand why Stacy wasn't on with David last night but all of the vendors came in.  I saw that David was staying away from them and they didn't great each other as they normally would.  Still seems like that is more unnecessary people around.

They have stated that they are limiting people inthe studios. Primarily, only the local vendors are coming and will represent multiple products. I don't watch a lot anymore, but it seems that there is only one host (which is preferable to me, anyway) and no "social media" host, although David did mention last night that they still had the chat. I don't know who ran that. Maybe one of the empoyees who was working from home.

It will be interesting to watch the all day cooking event on Sunday. David usually doesn't go longer than 2 hours without someone, Stacy or Mary, giving him a break. I imagine they will have other hosts there and available to give each other breaks as needed, but only one host.

Re: Postpone Now You're Cooking Day??

@lunchlady3Even as they've scaled back some of the people we see on camera, QVC still has a huge number of employees.  I am not concerned they are just discarding food which is still edible.  Nor do I think the amount of food that might have to be discarded because it's been sitting around too long is any more than supermarkets have to discsrd when what they've prepared doesn't sell or produce discsrded if it isn't purchased for some reason, etc.

I doubt any of leftover food goes to shelters -  I haven't seen anywhere any changes in the laws regulating what shelters can safely and legally accept.

As for what they should show during these days???   I have no answer -  just know my buying for the next 6 months is most likely food, fuel, meds, and other essentials.  I don't need to watch because there's truly nothing I intend to buy.  Fortunately, I'm pretty certain that even without new shopping I can get put together for anything I will be doing for at least the next 6 months.

Watching people eating never bothered me - now I don't even watch. QVC might be better off coming up with "The Comfort Of Home" themed shows.

I think a show like this is needed now more than ever.  We need entertainment and we need new ideas for what to do with your food stash.  If they sell a few things along he way, its fine with me.
