Popcorn Recommendations for WHIRLEY POP Popcorn Maker?

Hello Smiley Happy

I bought a Whirley Pop popcorn maker b/c I don't want to make microwave popcorn anymore due to potential health risks.

I used popcorn I bought from our local store (Jolly Time). Nothing special or expensive. However, it pops up "tough."

Any suggestions? Hoping I don't have to order the Whirley Pop popcorn...
