I LOVE my Temp-tations {#emotions_dlg.wub}

<h1 class="fn" style="margin-top: 5px !important; margin-right: 0px !important; margin-bottom: 0px !important; margin-left: 0px !important; font: normal normal bold 14px/normal Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif !important; color: #333333 !important; letter-spacing: 0px !important; text-align: left !important; word-wrap: break-word; padding: 0px;"> I recently bought 2 sets of Temp-tations Hand-Painted 16-pc Service for 4 Dinnerware Set in spice and one of the plates were chipped {#emotions_dlg.laugh}and I was told I would have to send the whole set back to have it replaced. I also purchased Temp-tations Old World 24-piece Complete Oven- to-Table Set aolso in spice and the spoons were broken{#emotions_dlg.laugh} and again I was told the same thing.....I don't get this why can't they just replace what is broken.</h1>

I would also like to see ramekens or small desert bowls 6-8 oz size and etched glass beverage sets.{#emotions_dlg.thumbup} I also think it would be ncie to have the dinner plates, bread plates and bowls in an open stock type of purchase like a set of 2 or 4 so if you need to replace or add something you can do so without being forced to buy a whole complete set when you only need say a plate or bowl.{#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

My suggestion - stop buying this cheap junk and start collecting Fiestaware!

I don't care for that policy myself. It's the same if you buy pan sets and other stuff too. I'd ask for a pick up. I've never gotten any chipped broken TT. Knocking on wood.

I do not understand the complaint. QVC is a retailer. They do not keep individual pieces in stock for replacement. If there is an issue with the order you receive, they do require the entire set because that is what they have to replace. The same would be true if you purchased a set of dishes from almost any other retailer.

I agree with the post, though, about stop buying cheap junk. If you want quality dinnerware with a large selection of open stock pieces, start investing in it. While TT may appear pretty to some, when it comes to replacing individual pieces or adding pieces to the set, you run into issues. Fiestaware is a reasonably priced line of dishes made in this country, sold at lots of retailers, and is high quality.

I agree with terrier3, but suggest Polish Stoneware.

QVC doesn't keep the individual pieces in stock, just the whole set. Call Temp-tations directly. Explain to them what pieces were broken and they will ship out just those pieces with no charge to you. Don't wait too long though or they will charge shipping. I'm sorry you had pieces that were broken, but that can happen to anything fragile when these ups guys aren't handling the package properly.
