I bought frozen crossiants from the Q at least 1 year ago maybe close to 2 years.  The ones that come flat, frozen and they puff up when you bake them.

I packed them in small batches in freezer bags and put the freezer bags in lock and lock containers.

Pitch or keep?

They are safe to eat but might have a freezer taste.  I would bake one and see if its good. If it has an off taste I would pitch.

When in doubt, throw them out.

@Abrowneyegirl - I have some of those in my freezer, too!  I took some out about a month ago and they puffed up just fine and tasted good.  I plan to eat mine.  I don't think there's anything that would harm you, if you wanted to do the same.

Things that are kept frozen are generally safe; as long as they haven't been allowed to thaw and then refreeze.  The taste may not be as good and will deteriorate over time, but that's all.

I don't know if you're a Sam's Club customer but our local store has gotten in pretty much the same thing:  small, frozen croissants made in France, but it's like 40 small croissants for something like $13.98.  I'm going to try those next.

Food in a freezer does not become unsafe to eat no matter how long it it is in there.  Sometimes, ice crystals form and the quality is not the same.

i would bake one and taste it.  If it tastes okay, all is well.  The only thing that could be wrong is the quality of the product could be diminished.
