It's takes me longer to make space in my kitchen and clean up afterwards, than it does to make the actual crust! I use the refrigerated ones, and doctor them up with decorations, egg wash, and sugar. People love my pies!

Sorry for the blank post. Having trouble signing on. I recommend checking out the videos from both Martha Stewart & Alton Brown. I've had good luck using their recommendations for a food processor. I think Martha uses all butter while Alton mixes butter & shortening (that's what I prefer). Also check out blogs on the King Arthur flour web site for tips. Good luck to you & remember that like everything else in baking, practice makes perfect.
