I am confused.

I have a bottle of Heinz Pickle Relish. On the bottle it states "refrigerate after opening".

I recently bought a bottle of B&G Pickle Relish. On the bottle it states "For best results, chill this relish before serving". No other mention of refrigeration between use.

I just read an article that said pickles, ketchup and eggs do not need to refrigerated.

I have always refrigerated pickles, pickle relish, ketchup and eggs. I am no sure I could not refrigerate them. Has anyone not refrigerated them?

According to the feds, eggs should be refrigerated. Pickles, pickle relish, and ketchup don't have to be refrigerated. Some manufacturers recommend refrigerating a product for what they consider best flavor.

I refrigerate all of the items you mentioned.

My m.o.  (modus operandi)

When in doubt - refrigerate.

Ketchup can be left out. I've kept it in the pantry. Tastiest at room temp.

I prefer chilled relish and so refrigerate that.

I can't imagine leaving eggs unrefrigerated, long term.

Why would grocery stores refrigerate eggs if it wasn't necessary?

@drizzellla  I’ve finally found why honey gets hard in the refrigerator. I read that it shouldn’t be refrigerated and on the bottles says not to. It’s the one food that has a very long shelf life.

No way would I not put ketchup in the fridge.  Or pickle relish or any of that stuff.

I refrigerate all of the above to include ketchup and barbecue sauces. I will take out of the fridge prior to using for those who like them at room temperature.

I refrigerate all food after I open it ... that’s just me, I feel safer that way 🙃
