Perfect Gourmet Coconut Breaded Shrimp

I was about to order these shrimp again when I decided to read the reviews. I have had these before. In fact, after my first order, I wrote a 5 star review. The next order, however, was nothing like the first. The shrimp were very strange looking -- the tails were very long -- looked like a worm. And they weren't as good. However, I thought perhaps that was a one-time anomaly so was going to try once more. The recent reviews are horrible. Therefore, I am not ordering them ever again. It's typical of the "new" QVC -- there is no more quality or value. I thought I'd write another review, explaining how much the product has changed and saying I won't order them again. Well, guess what? You can't write another review. They just keep putting your original one on the screen and saying "you already wrote a review."

I don't think I'll ever order any food product from the Q again. They are all way overpriced -- and the quality just isn't there anymore.

Re: Perfect Gourmet Coconut Breaded Shrimp

I've thought about ordering the coconut shrimp. It looks so good on the shows. I'm glad I read this, although I would have read the reviews on-line before ordering. The only food I've ever ordered from the Q is the pot stickers. I really like them. Oh, I've also ordered Mrs. Prindable's apples, but that was years ago. I liked them, too.

I started to order Vintage Bee honey the other day, but the reviews were so mixed that I decided against it. I agree that the food is overpriced.

The Trader Joe's version is great...and very affordable too!

Here is a link for a Coconut Chicken recipe I have wanted to try but as of yet have not. I don't know why you could not go by it to make your own coconut shrimp. http://www.budgetbytes.com/2010/01/coconut-chicken-w-sweet-chili-dipping-sauce/
