My intention going in was to "dump" the cheesecake to a plate and reinsert it with a spatula, @momtochloe , but the timing was so far off that it was still soupy, and the additional time required allows too much browning for my taste.  The recipe calls for buttering the insert in advance so no foil needed.  This just was not a very well thought out (and obviously not tested) recipe.  Now that I know that I'll make some adjustments and the next one will be fine, I'm sure.  Pretty fearless here, so I will not be deterred!Woman LOL

@Gokat, do you think it would work to start the cheesecake in a ramekin that would fit inside the pot then when it came time to turn empty the ramekin into the pot to finish?

Personally I think the recipe should perform as written, @Marp.  If not, why bother?!? Woman Wink

Adding more layers of vessels would only change the cooking time and size IMO so not sure that would work.  The whole idea of these portable rice cookers/perfect pots, etc.  is supposedly quick and easy.  I'll just adjust the recipe and I'm sure it will work out fine the second time around.Woman Happy

My final time on my cheesecake today was 65 minutes and it was not runny in the middle. It actually puffed up enough and came away from the sides to flip out onto a plate. The foil on the bottom came right off. I forgot to butter the foil the first time. It has been in the refrigerator for a half hour and it has held it's shape. Now I will have the best way to make another one that I don't have to keep playing with the time. I corrected the time in my book. I hope QVC would put a correction list of what times need adjusting for us any any recipes they change.

Off to my son's for his 46th birthday. My younger son and daughter birthdays are on the 26th. My daughter will be 50 and my son will be 42. My kids are 10 days apart so July is a busy time. My younger son was born on his sister's birthday. I almost had three kids with the same birthday.

I made a loaf of bread today, turned out great. I used the 11 oz Pillsbury refrigerated French bread found in refrigerated section where biscuits and pizza dough are located. I was a little skeptical but thought I'd give it a try. Sprayed pot with butter flavor Pam. Worked the dough into round shape and put in the Perfect Cooker Pot. Set cook timer for 30 minutes. When I checked at 30 min, it was not ready to flip. Set cook cycle for another 10 minutes then it was ready to flip loaf over. Set cook timer for 20 minutes but actually found it was done after 15 minutes so turned the cooker off and unplugged it. Let loaf stay in cooker for 10 minutes (as Meridith suggested) then took it out of Perfect Cooker. I will next try the frozen bread dough but will have to pace myself because could become an addiction! LOL

@kindaglitzy  The bread would be nice to do on a cool rainy or snowy day. Nothing smells a kitchen up better than bread. Good for portion control in this cooker too.

Yesterday I had 2 cups of small cherry tomatoes and a few small regular tomatoes to use up so I put them all in the perfect Cooker with a touch of olive oil and a tablespoon of sugar and salt and pepper. I put about an 1/8 cup of water and set the Cook time to 30 minutes. I opened them up and stirred them and added another 30 minutes and the sauce was very good. I will make a small amount of pasta and will add this to it later for my lunch. I find myself experiencing with this as I don't have to watch over it and if it needs more time I just check the contents , add more time and walk away. It is super easy to clean in just a few minutes.

On Evine they call it the Wonderpot.  It's their special today and is about 12 cups.  It has 6 different functions.

I thought this is the perfect size for me so I ordered it in mint.  (I need it like a hole in the head).  I think it's about $38.00.  I think I will be able to use some of the silicone inserts from my pressure cooker.

Hope this is the last gadget I will buy for at least the rest of the year and perhaps next year.

This is really nice but would be too big for my needs. I liked all the functions on it. Maybe they will make a smaller one sometime. I have a new rule that if I buy a new small appliance I have to give one away. I have enjoyed the Perfect Cooker so far. I love the skinny mini also.

Good luck on your purchase.

Re: Perfect Cooker TSV

[ Edited ]

I watched part of her presentation the rep.Debra Murray made a negative  remark  about  our C.E perfect cooker.she held up the inner pot and said this is only 5 cups & 200 watts.,she  didn't say the brand name so I wouldn't buy it anyway she  sounds drunk half the time in her presentations. Debra , and one more thing about Evine, while I'm on my soapbox,Evine never offers a Waitlist & the extra wtty. is too high, at least QVC offers waitlist on some TSV'S  and low shipping or free shipping on some TSV.'s.

@Ttownlady  I watched an entire hour presentation on the Wonder Pot and was impressed.  It seems far superior to the Perfect Cooker and just $10. more + a little extra shipping.  It designed to hold 2 servings so it's perfect for  just me, a little over 2 quarts.  I like that the insert is ceramic coated and not a Teflon-like product that wears off.  I did not care for the colors.

Deb Murray is a little zany but I've never thought her drunk.
