On the subject of Paula Deen, I think she did not deserve the treatment she received, but I had turned her off for a few years over her vulgarity.
Edited to delete remarks about Robert Irvine.
You don't like Robert?

There are two Paula Deens: The PD on her original show which took place in her producer's kitchen, where she was humble and interesting. Then came the "I'm famous now" PD, who became loud and obnoxious, who dragged her sons into the kitchen, and who completely lost her authenticity.
I enjoyed the first PD, but chose not to watch the second one.

If we can give our politicians, entertainers, etc., second and sometimes third chances, Paula certainly deserves another chance. Like someone else said, maybe she has learned and grown from this. She doesn't deserve to be ostracized for the rest of her life. There will always be people who don't like you if you're a public figure, so it's no surprise that some are not going to give her the time of day. I'm just happy that there are others who have the capacity to forgive and give Paula a second chance.
Through out reading this whole thread all I could think about was President Clinton and his second chance. Lots of folks in politics from both sides of the aisle not to mention all the different type celebrities who have been put back up on their feet. Oh well, I am glad she did not go into hiding or retire, and you can tell she loves "life."

Well, Bill Clinton had and still has a lot to offer the country and the world. This woman never had anything other than her personality which I don't care for.

I can forgive, but I don't forget. Some people change with fame and not for the better.
I would never pay $250 to see any celebrity - where do they get off asking that price. Most people cannot afford to spend that kind of money. She has made enough to lower her prices

Never could stand that woman.

She needs an intervention.

Yes I agree. Instead of embracing the problem, and doing a commercial to talk about the diabetes, she chose to hide it, and still promote her high calorie fat and sugar laden cooking for money.
Shame on you PD.
I like the original Paula, down to earth, a sweet southern woman...and then she became famous. I guess money and fame will throw you into a whirlwind...we see it all the time.

This picture of Paula Deen and Robert Irvine is the kind of picture that brings many things to mind, and while I have no knowledge of the true story behind the picture, I have watched enough of Robert Irvine to know he loves to demonstrate his physical strength. My first reaction to the picture is that he has demonstrated his strength once again by doing push-ups with Paula Deen on his back.
