i make pancakes (crepes and eggs) in a All-Clad stainless skillet, and I have no issues with food sticking.

I just read an article yesterday about using coconut oil for pancakes and waffles. They are suppose to taste and cook so much better than using butter.

What is a pancake cooker?
We use an electric non-stick griddle. West Bend I think, not expensive. It's wonderful as you can cook several panackes, french toast, sandwhiches, etc. at once.

Pancake cooker? Is this the new thing after air fryers and super pots?
If you don't have a nonstick pan, I'd just purchase a small nonstick fry pan. You can get something of decent quality for pretty cheap and that's all you need.

I bought a 'pancake flip pan' several years ago (thift store purchase) after they were the infomercial du jour for their 15 minutes.
I ended up 'redonating' it . It made a mess.
I find the best is a cast iron griddle by Lodge that I keep seasoned . I have learned the correct temp to set my electric burner on and they turn out good most of the time.
It is great for tortillas also.

I remember heating up the griddle, throwing water on it and seeing if the droplets "danced" ...Then we knew it was the right temp for pancakes..First one never turns out...remember that...

I bought one of those also- what a mess! You had to time it just right- too short a time flipping the pan, pancake batter was everywhere. And too long a time, it was overcooked. I never figured out that minimal window of time! I redonated mine to a garbage can!

I never had a problem using my 12" Farberware stainless frying pan..............

I realize they make a gadget for everything, but you really don't need a pancake cooker. If you own a pan, you can make a pancake (hence the name.)
