Paging CindyinFl and other Gooseberry Patch cookbook enthusiasts...

.. I got my books yesterday. I haven't had time to open them yet.

Can you tell me which recipes are your tried and true favorites?

Thank you so much for recommending these Smile

Hi HC! I must have 20 GBP cookbooks! I've been collecting them for years. I have had quite a few recipes published over the years and have received the cookbooks for free. You should submit some of your favorite ones! I usually send 6-8 recipes at a time and I think they keep them on file. Great recipes in those books!

Hi House cat. I'm so glad you have gotten some GP cookbooks.

I'll go through my cookbooks tomorrow for favorite recipes. I always mark in the cookbook the recipe name and page # so I won't forget. So I'll try to post tomorrow evening some of my favorites. There are so many! Do you plan on getting a slow cooker cookbook? GP has so many good Slow cook recipes, and a lot of those are my favorites as I use my slow cooker almost every day.

I think once you start cooking out of the books, you'll never look back.

Congratulations, and welcome to the Gooseberry Patch world!

Oh, I'm such a ditz. I haven't even had time to look at them, but low and behold, I did order the slow cooker book! I wrote casseroles by mistake yesterday, it's the Big Book of Home Cooking and the 101 Super Easy Slow Cooker Recipes that I purchased.

I'm a fan of GP too. Our library has so many of their cookbooks so while I only own about six of them, I've looked through many more.

Hi House cat: I haven't forgotten about you Time permitting, I'm still going through my GP cookbooks for my favorites. I'll be passing some of these recipes along to you soon.

In the meantime, I wanted to add another slow cooker cookbook to the mix. This is not a Gooseberry Patch, but nonetheless, still has some great fast and easy slow cooker recipes.

It's called 101 Things to do with a Slow Cooker and/or it's followup 101 More things to do with a Slow Cooker, by Stephanie Ashcraft & Janet Eyring. If you are interested, you can probably find both of these on ebay for very reasonable prices. I have also been cooking out of these for a long time. Give them a look see.

Be back to you soon. Hope you are having a great week.
