I bought a Nuwave PIC from BB&B a couple days ago. Yesterday I cooked a pot of beans on it with my Le Crueset. I brought it to a low boil, then set it for "simmer" at 175 deg. With simmer you should be able to see the liquid move just a little, but no movement, so I checked it with a thermometer & it was way lower than 175 & I had to set the temp. to about 220 deg. to get it to cook. I called Nuwave Cust. Service & explained what was happening & she said it should be maintaining the temp. I set it at & suggested I e-mail Nuwave, since I bought it at a retail store instead of the internet site or phone.
Have any of you ever had this problem, or does your PIC maintain proper temp.? I will probably wind up exchanging it & trying again, but wanted to get your ideas.
