I just made some with fresh eggs and what a mess to peel. I'll follow all your advice next time.

STEAM the eggs and they will peel fine. They are never hard to peel out of my little egg cooker. There are also instructions for steaming eggs onthe internet.
We never boil them any more, we steam them! Everything comes out fine when you do and it is easier to time them.

I have not had a problem peeling hard boiled eggs since last Feb. My secret......I purchased a microwave hard boiled egg cooker from Amazon for less than $12.00, I believe. Does not matter if they are old or fresh, the eggs cook in my microwave in 11 minutes and thy arganlways peel like a dream ! I kid you not, they ALWAYS peel perfectly!

Peeling hard boiled eggs ranks right up there with shucking fresh corn!
Eggshells, corn silk - two out of three of the most annoying things on earth.
The third would be Styrofoam packing peanuts that manage to stick to every part of your body and household object as you are trying to get rid of those things!

I crack the egg all over against the sink and always start peeling at the big end (air sac). The water will run under the shell making it easy.

I don't have any issues since purchasing that little egg cooker from Mark Miselli. No matter whether fresh or slightly aged, the eggs turn out perfectly every time. I then put them in a bowl, run cold water over them, and peeling is a breeze.
