Well the pumpkin pie is made, cooled and out on the back porch. I got my Lock& Lock pie keeper today and it is very cool. I especially like the insert with handles to lift the pie! It is K46681 if you are interested.  It feels good to have one dish ready to go. Happy Thanksgiving !🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧🥧

Well so far I've made 1 of 3 Not yo mammas banana puddings and my Turkey is thawed and now in a pot with brine solution in the fridge.  Thawing out that 23 lb Turkey was a all day adventure which started Saturday.

23lbs...big bird! I cooked a 21lb bird two times. The second yesr i cut it up jnto pieces. It cooked faster and i didnt have to worry about undercooking like the 1st year thsti had to keep throwing it back in the oven.

I cooked on Monday.  We ate at 3 pm, and plates made for a few people.  I hope I get my lock and lock large divided containers back.  What we don't eat today will go in the freezer.  We are traveling tomorrow.

@JeanLouiseFinch   I hope you enjoy your time in NYC.  Have fun!

I'll be doing my cutting and chopping of the potatoes, carrots and turnips today.  The stuffing is made and wrapped up tightly in the coldest part of the frig along with the fresh turkey.  I'll be ready to go early in the morning!   We are planning on a 1:30-2:00 meal so everything needs to be going early.  Luckily DD is making dessert so I don't have to deal with that part.  Enjoy everyone Smiley Happy

@LindaSal Can I come to your house just for the turnips?

I'm the only one that likes them and haven't had them since my mom passed away.
