Re: OK...........Need a source

Does Usingers ever give out coupons or specials??? Is there a flat rate shipping fee, as I do not live in a state that they list requires FedEx extra???? I have ordered their catalog, and looked around the site, and have emailed them with these questions....But my credit card is yelling at me for NOW!!!!

Re: OK...........Need a source

forrestwolf, I am lucky enough to be able to buy Usingers at select stores in my area and they are very, very good.  It was actually the first time I realized there was a difference between hotdogs and frankfurters (both are delicious).

I wish I could help you with coupons/shipping, unfortunately I cannot but I can speak to the quality of their products and I think they are delicious.

I do not recall ever seeing a Usinger's coupon.  They do sometimes have "grilling" specials in the summer.  Shipping depends on whether you order from the catalog or if you order from the deli.  There is a 6 lb. minimum for the deli shipping.  My husband is a huge brat fan (fresh only) so he orders those and Italian sausages.  He LOVES their  weiners because they have skins.  I like the fritzies breakfast sausages (we refer to them as little friskies).  I hope you find what you are looking for!  For German sausage, we also like to order from Schmidt's Sausage Hause In Columbus OH.  Bahama Mama's are a particular favorite.  Someone at work told us about them and we have stopped in the restaurant several times driving through Columbus.

Forestwolf, if you are in middle Georgia, then you may find the Amish Minnonite community in Montezuma may have sausages to your liking.  They have a restaraunt called Yoder's, 478-472-2024.  They may be able to point you in the direction of Polish sausages since they have many stores and goods from their farms.  I'm in south Georgia and have been there to eat with our church group.  It is good home cooking, but their pies are AWESOME!!!  The way you would make them if you had all the time to do it the old fashioned way!

I am very familiar with them, as my ex father-in-law, sold silos, and worked with a  family named Swartzentruber.....They were always bringing us fresh goat milk.......but I would have loved it better as cheese........Woman Frustrated My aunt is from Macon, and would go there all the time......I have never seen anything but their goat milk, and I never went with my mom and aunt when they would go there for dinner......Thanks.......
