I have been on the program for 2 months. Lost very little weight. I have cancelled the program today because I just find the food INTOLERABLE.

I read all the time how bad the food is, yet all the ads say how delicious it is, 1000s are sold every day. I myself eat a lot of processed food, just not enough fresh fruit & vegetables & do a too large portion size - & hardly any exercise due to arthritis in my legs (don't walk as much as I used to). So of course I'm gaining weight.

Just specifically what is so bad about about N's food? Give me some flavors/specifics, please.

I have had good luck with nutrisystem but I buy mine from Costco where you can choose your own food from the menus. I have to admit that I actively dislike most of the selections but there are just enough items that I really do like to make it OK. There are a lot of pasta item which are awful. You can get a 4 week, weekends off, for $199. You can also get just a $100 gift card for $79. Starting on Sunday Costco will be offering $30 off the gift card - usually when they do that they also offer similar savings on the 4-week plan.

I'm sorry, tbird. Just wanted to point you (and others) to another thread on Nutri System on the Beauty Board.

Hi Glmama! Don't give up... 'DIETS"" do not work! Eat small portions of healthy food...walk 2 miles at least 3 times a week and you will lose weight! I did and the weight has stayed off for years. BOOO on all DIETS!

Diets work, the problem is sticking to them. I ignore the Nutrisystem threads because I hate to be a total downer, but you specifically mentioned taste. Yes, the food is the worst processed food available on the market today. Flavors and specifics? All of it, with the exception of some of the snacks. They have the same preservatives, etc. as any other frozen or packaged shelf stable line. But I rate it absolutely on the bottom taste wise, and that includes the powdered smoothie mix.
