Has anyone tried this?  I just saw a commercial for it, and it looks like something I would like...but it's only $19.99...so I'm wondering how nice it could actually be.

It reminds me of a Salad Shooter but with a crank handle.

Exactly what I was thinking. I used to have a Salad Shooter. It was electric and rather than cranking a handle you just pushed in on a trigger-like button. I don't remember why I stopped using it and I don't recall getting rid of it. I wonder if it's hiding in the recess of some cabinet!

I googled the Nutrislicer and found some helpful reviews on Amazon and some look alike versions that got better reviews. You may want to go over there and read what people thought about it.

Thanks, @Tigriss.  I think I will.  I like that it suctions to the countertop.

The salad shooter was more of a hand-held thing, wasn't it?

Yes, it is. The Nutrislicer appears to be a manual version of the Salad Shooter (electric) which is still sold in many places.

Here is a picture. The attachments fit in the round hole, the food is fed through the top.

This is a picture of the Nutrislicer. It pretty much looks like the same thing except, as you mentioned, this one sticks on the counter and is cranked by hand using the handle.
