Yesterday I tried my new Nu Wave for the first time with horrible results. I cooked a turkey breast and it turned out to be the worst ever. It was so dry I couldn't cut it or eat it. Has this happened to anyone else? Most of the reviews are 5 stars so I was very disappointed.

Sounds overcooked to me. I cook some chicken breasts for my dog and they were so good I ate some of them. Were they frozen? That would change the cooking time. I have the SuperWave and I use it frequently. Makes wonderful pork chops.

They were thawed. Hopefully I just overcooked it. I'll try something else tonight. Thank you.

Don't forget that they will not brown without some fat on them. Maybe they didn't look done. I would take one out and test it for doneness. It is easy to cook longer because you do not lose a lot of heat in the Nuwave.

You need to follow the guide for cooking times. (weight of food times minutes per pound.) It's pretty accurate. Also did you turn your turkey over half way though the cooking time. I have not had a problem. I've cooked turkey, chicken, prime rib, etc. using the guide and everything has come out great.

We made the breast. Had to add time on it was raw in the middle and then it
was fine. The next day we had turkey, grave, baked tater an veggies. Very moist We figured the time wrong. Try it again.

I also tried my NuWave for the first time yesterday with excellent results. I roasted a whole thawed chicken following directions. I didn't have the weight to go by because I'd frozen it separately out of a Costco package of two. I followed a recipe in the booklet, I think it was 20 minutes, turn it over and another 25? minutes. Anyway, I had to add another 5 minutes.
DH said it was the best roast chicken he'd ever had. I thought it was almost as good as the French Chicken in a Pot recipe I usually follow. It was definitely moist and tender.
Don't give up, it seems there is a learning curve. I'm thinking it might replace the microwave and the table top oven. I tried toasting a piece of French bread today and it toasted it faster than the table top oven.
If it will thaw a pound of frozen hamburger without cooking it, I'm definitely moving the microwave to the garage.

I just made a turkey breast in my nuwave today as well! Mine turned out wonderful, I followed minutes on guide and added 10 minutes more to make sure it was done and it was juicy! Did you use your extender ring so that the burner thing was not too close to the meat? I have been extremely pleased with everything I have tried so far….frozen hamburger patty, frozen ribeye, pork chops and roasted potato chunks, and the best bacon I have ever fixed!

Simple answer here ...I have learned a long long time ago not only with the Jet Stream Oven and Nuwave, but also conventional heat sources to cook to temperature and not time and by using a fast read thermometer with a long oven probe such as K132692 and finishing the heating about 4-5 degrees before the target temperature, has yielded perfect results for during the resting period the protein will continue cooking to your desired temperature.
