Now that u have owned your Ninja MultiCooker for a while...

Are you very pleased you bought it? Is it everything you hoped it would be? OR- Is it more of "fun to use when I first bought it, but I wouldn't buy it again if I could go back?". OR- Just another gadget??? I am thinking about buying one mainly for the roasting feature, but don't want to waste my money if it isn't all that it is cracked up to be. Thanks so very much!

I use mine frequently.  It has dedicated space on the counter most of the time.  I bought one for my mother-in-law and she wouldn't even try it so it was returned to me.  That's great because when I am in a major cooking mood to stock up the freezer, I could use 2.  I was already debating getting a second one.  The prime rib roast recipe in the book is fantastic.  How to make a fancy meal for company with minimal work.  My mother has one, so when I cook a meal for my parents, I cook it in mine, then take the insert with the food, and place it in hers until we are ready to eat.  I don't know what I did before I had it.  Good luck.

I use mine 2-3 times a week.  It's been especially great this summer when the weather has been very hot (upper 90's and 100's), so I don't have to heat up my kitchen with the oven.

I hate it and wished I had never bought it, that and my Kitchen Aid mixer. The Ninja cooks way too hot even on the lowest settings, everything boils and boils no matter what, there is no way to get it to a simmer. The Kitchen Aid mixer spins around way too fast, even on the slowest setting. It makes a mess everywhere, everytime.

gulf coast girl, maybe you got a defective Ninja.  I've never had mine boil anything and it cooks perfectly.  Depending on where and when you got it, maybe you could return/exchange it.

Re: Now that u have owned your Ninja MultiCooker for a while...

I love mine and use it almost daily: I wish they made non-stick pans with the same material used in the liner. I even use it for stir frying: as a Diabetic, I have to watch my fat consumption and I can stir fry with ease at high temperatures. The "keep warm" feature is invaluable-especially around the holidays.

Lately, I have been using it for steam baking my "diabetic delights" as I call them ( zucchini bread, Lola's peach cake over on Recipes). Yes, it's true: recipes you make using this feature use half the fat called for in original recipes.....and they are fantastically moist.

Needless to say, I use it so frequently, I keep it on my counter. It really is not all that heavy if you want to store it or transport it. I think any cook, no matter their skill level, would get a lot of use from this. Before you buy it,however, did you see the new multi-cooker that Kitchen Aid came out with? It has the great additional feature of an automatic stirring feature that can be set at the speed you want-that is really a great feature.
