Has anyone ordered new covers for the dough disc lately.  Are they available in both sizes of the disc?  I need some and have been thinking about getting a disc for a gift.  Any information?

I owned several MANY sunsets ago, but they are no longer available here. You can find a used one on eBay! It is open box, and another is used! I still have her Favorite Foods From The Ozarks cookbook somewhere, and it had the best recipe for chicken and dumplings. I tweaked it, and my family LOVED❤️ it. I recall David raving about them.😁 That is one comfort food I miss!

I hope you find one that you like!😊

@kismet   I haven't been able to get the covers for years, so I opened up the round one and made my own.  Very simple.  After cutting the fabric I add a thin strip of elastic and I'm done.  I measure the elastic around the disc and remove about 3/4  inch to get the fit.  I love the discs.  Nothing else works the same.

@Boehm Collector  I think we are talking about 2 different things.  The no mess dough disc is for rolling out dough, not mixing dough.  There was a round and an oblong.  The covers are muslin and washable.  This item was available many, many years ago.

I have both of the disc.  I bought one for my daughter years ago and couldn't believe it when she said she didn't like it and donated it.  I never had a problem with dough but got this so I didn't have to roll on my counter.  It was messy.  Loved it and wanted to share it with my daughter since her husband always rolled the dough for her.  I make homemade pizza and did a lot years ago and it was so easy to get it in the pan.  Maybe it should come back to QVC.  I suppose I'll have to make the covers myself but I really don't care to sew anymore.  Can't believe the cost of fabric today.  I did order the book on ebay awhile back.

Silicone pastry mats have largely replaced most of the other dough rolling media out. They're a lot lighter than marble or wood pastry boards, can be rolled up for storage, and come in every size imaginable. No cover is needed.

If you already have a Silpat or the like, you can experiment with using one of them, but they don't have the circular outlines many people like for their doughs while the mats made for dough do. I've been using one for about a year now and it's great.

I ordered this several years ago and love it. It's all I use. There's a phone number on the bottom of te disk that you can call to order new covers. i reordered a couple years ago so I don't know if they still have them available or not.
