I bought the Ninja Storm on 9/25/16. But I haven't been able to try it out yet. I was going to make an Ice Cream recipe last night, but the power went out and it lasted almost an hour.So I had to put the thawed mangos I had taken out back in the freezer. What I want to know is. Can you use any recipe? I have one recipe that I saw on Facebook that says to use the whole bag of frozen fruit (a Sherbet recipe). But the Ice Cream recipe in the Ninja cookbook says to use 2 and 1/2 cups of frozen fruit (peaches). I am going to be using cubed mango pieces. Does the size of the fruit matter?

The quantity of ingredients has to fit into the machine and allow for the ingredients to have room to blend. If you dump a whole bag of fruit in there, it may not work. I would do the 2.5 cups of ingredients recommended in the Ninja recipe and once you know what you're doing, you can adjust as needed based on your experience. The size of the fruit can make a difference, but pre-cubed pieces from a bag of frozen fruit should be fine. Those are usually optimized for things like this.

Whatever you do, do it soon, because your time to return the device is running out. You need to make sure it works before you run up against the return date.
