Ninja Problem with Shredding Cheese

Has anyone tried the TSV Ninja mixer? I made smoothies this afternoon and all went well. Yum. Tonight I tried to shred Parmesan cheese as he did in the demo and I watch the video again to see if I did it right. Mine sliced, it didn't shred. It was hard, cold cheese. Has anyone else had the same problem. {#emotions_dlg.thumbdown}
