Ninja Creami 7 in 1 at HSN today for 139.99.  Wonder if the Q's 11 in 1 TSV was worth the additional $60.

Was  thinking the same thing as $60. difference is an ouch, sounds like sibling rivalry going on between the channels. For those that brought the Q Special Ninja Creami 11 if correct I believe  the Q  Creami 11 offered larger size containers think each was a pint and  half compared to the HSN containers which are pint size.

Would like to hear from ones with the Creami 7  was it  all that they say  it is ,or would it be easier for this senior to get my favorite  Haag--  D- -z, now and then. Thanks for your feedback.

Re: Ninja Creami

[ Edited ]

These gimmicks will be in yard sales before the five easy pays are paid off.....( for your 7 or 11 or whatever gimmicky number they come up with next month....maybe an app to remind you on Day 2 to get the frozen stuff out of the freezer..???)

Two days for a few cups of ice cream...right....

"You control what's in it!!!" they cry, as they ladle chemical laden  artificial syrups, candies, cookies etc into the mix...(People don't eat real fruit today...I give you "Greenies" or whatever today's TSV gimmick is .)

I'll eat my Breyers in five minutes, before I go out to yard sales and consider one for 25.00 bucks!!!

They'll be right next to those outdoor pizza ovens from last week....another gimmick that takes three hours of fiddling around to make a pizza when you can get your fave delivered, eat it, wipe your mouth, toss the box, and have a bowl of Breyers for desert!!!

My opinion of course!!! I can spot a gimmick a mile off!!!

I found it funny the other day when the Kitchenaid lady took aim at the Creami when she was selling the KA attachment for ice cream which churns.  She said something along the lines that if it's not churned, it's not ice cream.  Of course, if it's not using real cream, it's really not ice cream either.  It's a frozen dessert concoction.  That's the gimmick part of the Creami.  Like freezing the can of pineapples and then using the Creami to make a frozen treat.  It may taste good, but it's not ice cream.  However, if that's what you like, it may be worth it.

However, the results may not quite be ice cream consistency.  I remember reading earlier when these first were sold here, some people were complaining about the consistency of non-cream based ingredients.  It seems you have to run it through the machine 3 or 4 times to get something closer to the expected ice cream consistency.

I find the device intriguing, but I mostly prefer to just try out different flavors from the grocery store, especially since I can just have them when I want them.  No planning ahead or waiting.  Yep, I'm lazy when it comes to food.

I thought I had to have one, but seeing how it's a rigmarole, I'll be returning mine unopened.

It just depends on what you want to do with it. If you want to make your own low sugar or low fat ice cream, it may be worth it. If you use a sugar alternative, yes, you have to spin it several times to get it to the creamy texture. If you want to use milk alternatives, you can. I use mine often and the added features of the 11 -in -1 were not enough for me to change. I don't make coffee or slushy drinks. I would use my Vitamix for that. However, there are now a lot of keto ice creams that are already made that taste pretty good. I use mine primarily for keto meal replacement pints. It is nice to eat a pint of "ice cream" for dinner if I don't want to cook a meal. Yes, I could mix it in a glass, but this is more fun.

What I liked about the new model is that if you don't est the whole pint, which I never do, you can tell the machine to just remix the bottom part the next time you eat it. But, that doesn't seem to be a big deal, since the blade finds where to start remixing if you mix it the next day.

I disagree wholeheartedly that these will be at a garage sale soon. I don't have the Ninja Creami but I do have an automatic ice cream maker. It makes a pretty good size batch, can't remember the amount, and I bought the one that comes with 2 canisters. We use it ALL THE TIME in the summer. Yes, you have to put it in the freezer the day before then you churn the cream or milk and it only takes about 20-30 minutes. I've had it for about 5-6 years and I can't even tell you how many batches we have made.

My daughter has the exact same model so when we have a large group over she will bring hers and we make several batches in a short time. Everyone loves it. I have made it with skim, lowfat as well as cream. Sometimes we add cookies or some topping but 90% of the time we just make vanilla. We also like to add fresh fruit in season, especially peaches from our tree.

It baffles me that people post such negative things on a product they have never even used. If you purchased one I feel confident you will enjoy it tremendously.

@cjm61

I am a Certified Gimmick Spotter!! I EARNED my degree in gimmicks:

I have not purchased the Creami...BUT...at 66 soon to be 67, I've bought, used, regretted, and landfilled ( excellent term!!) MANY things that were supposed to make life easier, make better foods, do twelve things at once ( when one will do) etc etc etc..

And I've been to plenty of yard sales, where these economic nightmares are laid out nicely for sale for pennies on the dollar!!!

I give you my  most fave GImmick List...I'm sure there are others but I can't recall right now....:

Vitamix. OK if you want hearing loss to make soup in half and hour that you can make in five minutes quietly on the stove top. Still have it, never use it. Gimmick.

KA Bowl Lift Mixer. ...poorly constructed monster, noisy, pain in the neck to lift, move, clean. the bowl lift mechanism failed ...that's when I found out the parts in the bowl lift are mostly plastic ( you tube has DOZENS of videos on how to repair this frequently failing part). Also....the OUTSIDE of the KA mixers might be steel, but the important drive gears are mostly NOT. The pretty colored outside does NOTHING to mix the food. Gimmick.

KA Food Processor. I use a $2.00 paring knife and a bowl. Works just as well, seconds to clean up. Gave this gimmick away...along with it's box of 12000 attachments no one uses. The person I gave it to has a family...never used it . gimmick.

Keurig Landfill Waste Generator ( Coffee Maker)....you don't really pay attention when they say they are "giving" you 50 K cups (value 49.00!!!!) for "free"....until you realize YOU will be paying 80 cents to a dollar a cup. Adds up fast if you drink four cups a day like I do. More than a car payment !! Gimmick. Plus that plastic waste....OY!!!!  gimmick. Failed in less than one year. Water reservoir is not very sanitary way to keep water ready for the next cups. Yuck.

Mu current Whirlpool washer. LOVE this very large washer...does a nice job, top loader (replaced a gimmicky front loader that leaked from about day one...never again..they tried to make home washers that LOOK LIKE commercial made washers...fail!!!!)...

BUT...my new washer has an "app" to connect to my phone to "remind me" wash needs to be removed, or the washer needs to be cleaned, or my toenails need to be clipped. TOTALLY unnecessary because..wait for it...I have a working brain and can figure out when the load is done. GIMMICK. AndI can imagine what that electronic brain will cost to fix some day.

ANYthing that is sold with mulitiple attachments, or in kits ( like these 5 peice ktis of beauty magical  wrinkle gimmicks or shampoo//conditioner/ oil for your hair/ glossy shine mix that a particular greasy salesman with black fingernails hawks on Q.

Gimmick. Who has time to fool with all that stuff?

ANY item they sell today with more than a one year warranty. That does NOt signify that the thing is built any better than the one with the 30 day warranty. The manufacturer of that gimmick KNOWS most people will never need that warranty because people have such short attention spans, and when they find out they've been deceived by gimmickry, they stop using the darn thing before any warranty is ever needed!!!

Rant over.

THATS how I can spot a gimmick a mile away today.!!!!

Just for fun....one of my MOST favorite gimmicks on QVC EVER was Rachel Ray's "garbage bowl"!!!!!!!!  Only 19.99!!!!  free shipping!!!

I use a Walmart bag in a pot in the sink!!!!
