Small cast iron K337573 skillet. Can take 600 degree oven.  Non stick, good size for one or 2 people.

I got in gray.

@SharkE I am impressed. A non-stick that can handle high temperature.

Can't wait to hear how you like cooking with it.

@SharkE

It will be interesting to hear what you think about the pan.

When demonstrated that removable handle seemed awkward and didn't seem secure.

It has two handles so not sure why they need that extra piece.  Maybe you won't need it and it won't be a safety issue then.

I wonder how heavy it is?

I wondered that too and they never specified.

In the end I didn't think it would be all that heavy

I'm not that weak yet. LOL If it was a Lodge 10, 12 or 14 inch forget it. Some Le Cruset stuff can be way heavy. I don't mess with that stuff.   Tooo $$$$$$$ too.

Long time ago I got a half cast iron/ half aluminum 10

inch skillet at Walmart. Best of both worlds wouldn't trade it for the world. Will take to nursing home with me . ROFLMAO

Think the theory behind that helper handle is it's easy to grab and take the skillet out of the oven without sticking your hands and oven mitts in a hot oven.

I buy a small pork roast to make my own BBQ sandwiches. After you bake it, brown it up, you can put in pressure cooker to tender it up. Shred it up, put in skillet with Kinders BBQ sauce (I use mild) and you have enough for 4 sandwiches.  A BBQ sandwich can be as much as 15 for one bun. I make my own and have enough for 4 buns. Never pay more then 10 for the small pork roast. Pork is cheaper then beef, brisket

for sure.

Different shaped for a skillet. Looks like a casserole dish with a handle on it.

I like that. And I also like that it's a two-handled pan, with a removable long handle. I happen to have an 8" Lodge with the two handles, which I prefer, because I keep it on the stove and don't want a long handle sticking out. Plus, without a long handle, it also fits perfectly into my small toaster oven, where I make personal-sized pizzas with it.

However, there are times for stovetop cooking where I wished it had a long handle. (I'm assuming this QVC pan has a "cool" handle.) I used to have a small, white casserole with a detachable handle for stovetop cooking, and loved it. I don't know about the QVC pan, but I can assure you that the attachment mechanism on the one I had was very secure and stable.

The pain they have cost us, the evils that never happened.
