Having checked out the site that SeniorCTzn (post #6) posted, I'm appalled at the FN. What the heck is wrong with the FN and why wouldn't they have vetted Lenny's past??? His disgusting, crude comments alone, even w/o viewing his videos, are enough for me! This guy should be scrapped from the Food Network. The title and show should go to the runner up.

To all of the posters that did not like Lenny or were disgusted with some words he used,I say just grow up- the words that are be referred to are no big deal at all as they are said all the time, it is just people have become very thin skinned and can't take anything anymore-after the so called rude Paula Deen they would of never put themselves out there for more thin skinned people to take umbrage with words- GO LENNY

He was destined to win from the beginning, it seems....when he had a bad week, they would pass him along anyway......but, in the end, it was the "people" who voted, right????It's interesting on the FNS show how he was portrayed as being a polite, "aw shucks, ma'am" squeaky clean type of individual. He really put on a facade in front of the cameras, didn't he?

ciao_bella, thanks for taking the time to check out that link. I assure you the brisket video was rude, crude, and lewd. If anyone thinks I'm/others are thin-skinned for being disgusted, let them. I have enough self esteem to find it totally objectionable for ANY man to use that word --- on a published video, no less!!!
stilltamn8r, even if he was from the southern portion of New Hampshire.... New Englanders do NOT talk like the faux cowboy, Lenny.

I'm appalled at Food Network, knowing what they had to know about his videos, fakery etc., for handing him the win. Clearly they now have decided to pander only to the lowest common denominator.
They already have one loud, crass, obnoxious clown dominating their programming and now are going to foist off another one on their audiences? No thanks.

The Food Network already has Giada for Italian so why not Lenny? Giada's smiles couldn't have gotten any bigger whenever Luca came up and it was getting a bit embarrassing. Besides, with all of the cooking competition shows that they now always show on there, there really isn't much time to show just a regular cooking show much but I am looking forward to his show. Still love Mellissa's $10 and under show, love Jeff Mauro, and, of course, Guy Fieri.
I agree with this part. They really didn't have much of a selection. They were all duds. I never thought Luca should win because of Star Salvation. He was sent home once and then got a second chance. I never have thought that was fair in any of the seasons. I pretty much predicted what would happen last night. Nicole did get eliminated first and then I knew it would be Lenny as the winner. I will probably not watch him but I knew he would win.
Some of those outtakes from last night's show were cringe worthy especially the one where Lenny was going on about how beautiful Giada is. I didn't like Sarah during the competition but some of the behind the scene comments she made were funny.

Yes, I am disgusted with Lenny's crude, lewd language on FB and other places he has decided to spew his profanities. His reference to Ree Drummond was repulsive!! I'm certainly not thin-skinned and by no means would I condone his 'words' and write it off as "no big deal at all as they're said all the time."

I was really disappointed with the entire season, and IMO last night's show was one of the most boring of all. I'll never understand how Nicole made it to the final 3.
As for Lenny's background history, I was surprised to learn that he's from New Hampshire and that the accent is all part of his cowboy act. I saw a couple of the videos that were posted in the discussion section of Food Network's website. I'm surprised that they let those links stay up there on their own website along with so many negative posts. After reading all those discussion posts last Monday, I decided not to continue with the voting process.
If they decide to have another Food Network Star next year, I hope they revamp the format. HGTV got rid of Design Star. Maybe the FN Star show has run its course.

I found the entire season very boring and uninspired...maybe they're having trouble with casting?? Compared to other seasons when I really became involved with the contestants (like when Melissa D'Arabian was chosen...or Jeff Mauro), this cast left me totally "cold." Lenny always looked disheveled and his personality never offered much in the way of "star power" IMO.
Now with these other revelations, I certainly wouldn't give a moment of my time to seeing what he has to offer on his "show."
Who knows...maybe he'll go the route of that Justin guy who won and was rarely ever heard of again!!

I saw blurbs last night that they are ALREADY casting for the next ""version."" FN needs to give this series a rest!! Enough already.
