Saw them at the checkout at Publix, and couldn't resist trying them: Cheesy Garlic Bread. DO NOT buy anything but the smallest bag, or you'll be in trouble - yes, they're that good!

They have a new flavor in Albuquerque too. It's called Chips a la mouse. Some woman found a dead mouse in a bag of chips. They were Lay's and the company is ""looking into it.""

That's one of the 3 flavors that won the ""New Flavor"" contest on Facebook. My idea was bacon.

I'm surprised it's still around.

Get your flu shot...because I didn't.

I always think those incidents are planted -- someone trying to make money. Remember the finger in the chili?

These flavors were introduced last year. They included Siracha, Chicken and Waffles and the Cheesy Garlic. Chicken and Waffles was my fav. Didn't like the Cheesy Garlic or Siracha.

I preferred the Siracha myself.

I just saw this one new flavor.

Ennui1, some of the things found might be planted, but not always. Many years ago I was secretary to the president of the Coca Cola Bottling Company of NY - that was in the days before 800 numbers, so if someone had a problem they'd often refer it to the president's office. I HATED opening packages - you never knew what you'd find! {#emotions_dlg.scared} Sometimes people got bottles with roaches, or mice, or cigarette butts in them; one time a guy made a "deposit" (use your imagination....). The critters probably found their way into empty bottles on their own, but sometimes the (union) factory workers would get PO'd for some reason or other and put something in the product for spite. One woman wrote and said she was pouring Coke for dinner for her family, and a whole bunch of roaches came out into the last glass. {#emotions_dlg.crying}

There were free Coke machines all over the building, but at lunch we'd go out and buy Pepsi. I'm sure the same things happened there...but we didn't see or hear of it firsthand.

We've have these since March our Publix stores down here. Didn't much care for them out of the bag, BUT I dumped into the food processor and when added to panko and some smoked paprika, made for a tasty breading on pork and chicken.

And another good idea from Deadeye Daisy!

How about a topping on casseroles that call for those canned onion rings to add some crunch?
