Re: New Scandinavian Cooking show.

My Godmother was from Norway, spoke Norwegian and was the best cook I've ever met!

I married a man who is Swedish and Norwegian and his family had some of the best meals!  Thanks for the heads up, I'm planning to find this show.... Woman LOL

I used to watch this show regularly when the woman was doing the cooking.   I watched for awhile until the man that replaced her did something that turned me off.  On one show, there was a goat in the scene that got too close,  and he became angry towards it .  Animal lover that I am, whenever he was on after that, I turned the TV off.

I love this show. It really makes me want to see Norway for myself.

I have been to Norway several times - from the southern tip up to Bergen.

It's one of the most BEAUTIFUL countries on earth and I recommend a trip, especially if you like nature and history.

Terrier, how did you travel? Was it a package deal, cruise, etc?

The first time I went to Norway, I was with German friends who went there often. It was between college and grad school and we stayed for 3 months.

After that, I went on salmon fishing trips with my ex-husband to a small town on a fjord called Ulvik - HEAVEN! We flew into Oslo and then took the train to Ulvik...we took a ferry farther North too.

The last time was a package hiking trip through the fjords.

I prefer when  Tina hosts (which is rare). I like the show, but Andreas accent gets tiring. sorry.

I watch a lot of pbs.

I have been to Norway back in the early 60s.  To this date this is still my favorite countries.  Have always wanted to go back but never made it.  If you can, you really should go.
