New Gas Range.............I have a question ???

I want to get a new gas range for Christmas. I have no Idea what brand to buy or what I should be looking for. The people at the stores don't seem to be very helpful.

Can you please tell me what I should be looking for ?

I currently have a kenmore electric, but it has seen better days, and I want to go back to gas.
