I know there is another thread about the new Fiesta color; however, the subject line says it will be announced on January 15.  I just wanted to clarify the announcement will be at 9AM EST on January 12 (today).  I left some other info on that thread, but didn't want to repeat everything here.

Funny - yesterday I was saying that it will probably be another blue or another green.

Then, I get online this morning to see the email from Fiesta.

That's a seriously intense color!   It's not in the range of colors I would choose, but I imagine it will be popular among others.

I like that color---wonder how it compares to the cobalt and the lapis colors---I usually try to get 1 or 2 pieces of the new color. I have all the colors and in many pieces--

In my opinion it's too intense of a color for dinnerware. Dish color should complement food, not overpower it.

I have had many dishes over the years and they were all blue.  I am a blue person.

That said, I really don't know if I would want to eat off of dishes that color blue.  Perhaps a piece here and there would be nice for contrast, but a whole set..oh no!

It's a pretty shade, but too much like the cobalt for me. I am not tempted.

I'm wondering if this means that they will be retiring cobalt soon.  They seem too similar to both stay in the line up.
