We just purchased the top of the line Bosch. In my honest opinion, I regret it. One of the main selling features was how quiet they are....well, ours is not. It has the cycle called mineral dry that's suppose to really dry the dishes....it does, somewhat, but the cycle takes over 3 hours. We've had the repairman out twice in several months due to features on the digital board not working properly. I know many have great results with their Bosch. This is just our experience and I would not purchase another Bosch.

I love my Miele dishwasher!  It's super quiet and washes my dishes so they are sparkling clean each time!  I've had it for two years with no problems.

Before that we had a KitchenAide that gave us so many problems from the very beginning.  So when it was time to go DH did a lot of research and it was between the Bosch or Miele.  I can't remember why he went with the Miele but it's also very highly ranked and it's a great dishwasher.

@Carmie We had a GE Profile gas range for over 20 years and it lasted up until last month.  We decided to replace it with another GE Profile and so far it's very nice.....similar to the old one but with a few more newer upgrades.

We've had a Bosch for about 3 years and love it. We bought it to replace a 5 year old Kitchen Aid dishwasher that turned into a lemon very shortly after the one-year warranty expired. Parts broke that I'd never seen break on our previous dishwashers. Yes, the Bosch was more expensive, but we could have bought a Bosch with the combination of the original KA purchase price and repair costs and had money left over.

Our Bosch is very quiet. Although I didn't think I'd like it, I prefer using the top cutlery rack to the cutlery basket that also came with it. This provides more room for dishes, etc. on the lower level. The filter's very easy to access and clean. We usually just run a short cycle (1 hour) once a day. I'd buy another Bosch in a heartbeat!

Our Bosch is 8 years old and going strong, quiet as a mouse.  We use the third rack on top for large spoons and tongs, a lot of bowls and cups will fit in, and lots of things.  It is great!!!

I have a GE Profile double range and got it just over a year ago.  I had another brand before and loved it until the mother board went wonky.

I hope mine lasts 20 years as yours did.

@bargainsgirl

Our current dishwasher is a Bosch and it's the best one I've ever had.

Quiet, cleans super well, will replace it with the same when necessary.

I replaced dishwasher in our old house with a Bosch, it was great.  When we moved, our new house had a Bosch but it was there for years.  I still used it.  Worked day for a very long time.  Decided to replace it when we knew it was there at least 20 years.  Didn't want to replace it after a problem.  Got another Bosch.

@CamilleP - Wow.  I don't know which model Bosch you bought, but I've never heard anything like that in my life.

Mine (18 years old) does not require any kind of salt, is quiet (I used to have to check to make sure I'd turned it on and we have open-floor) and never leaves the dishes with water spots.  (You must live in a very hard-water area.)

I wash even lightweight plastic containers in mine and they don't get "blown around".  It all sounds rather fantastical.

If you hate it that much, you should replace it with something else.  Nothing is worth that much aggravation.  Putting rocks on top of your dishes?

Bosch might even be interested to hear your tale.  Perhaps you should contact them.

(ETA:  The long run cycle is because Bosch is a high efficiency machine.  Better for the environment.)

We love our Bosch at our home, commercial Bosch at our business, and gifted our DS a new Bosch at Christmas time.  They are the best..........noise level is almost non-existent.
