Re: Need to replace our Keurig type machine

I have had 4 Keurigs and with each one, the lifespan was shorter. They would just quit working without any warning. So, I am done with Keurig! Taking my time looking for something else.

Re: Need to replace our Keurig type machine

in order to make a really good cup of coffee you need to buy a expensive machine.  My friend's coffee machine (sorry I can't remember the brand) cost him around $600.  It's all about the temperature the machine can achieve and fresh ground beans.  His has many options for the type of coffee you want, beans are ground in the machine for each cup, and it comes out piping hot.

i'm not a big coffee drinker, but when I visit I always ask for a cup of coffee.  What a difference.

I've got the Ninja single brew coffee maker.  You can also make ice coffee and fancy brews with it.  I purchased the sage color which,to me, is really a gray-sage color.

I never brew pots of coffee so the k-cups are perfect for me.

Personally, I've never had much luck with Keurigs.  But, that's probably just me.

@eddyandme , just bought this one and like it too!

I am over replacing my keurig every year or so. I am switching to a ninja drip and pods combo. I have been please with all my ninja products so far.

Re: Need to replace our Keurig type machine

Whatever you choose in a coffee maker, I suggest you get one with a "showerhead" water dispenser.  This lets the water hit all the grounds instead of just one stream coming down in the middle of the basket/pod/k-cup.  I believe the newer Keurig machines now have this feature as well.  I use the ninja drip maker with this feature ($75 at Walmart), and it does a great job.  It has a setting for smaller batches (4 cups or less), as well as a "rich" setting for a little stronger brew.  I've been using it for several years now.
