Need help purging my plasticware...

I have some kind of a fascination for plastic containers. I keep them in a huge basket on top of my fridge, for lack of better storage. Recently they have begun to overflow the basket.

How many plastic containers do you keep? How do you store them? Should I pare it down to one of each shape and size?

I'm not at all a clutterbug, but I seem to have a problem with this.
