Please buy a My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter, and a brewer that's compatible with it.

Re: Need Suggestions for a Keurig

I think I have the Keurig K250. I got a really good buy on it at my local Kroger last fall.

It has a 40oz water reservoir, but the way that it sets on the Keurig it doesn't take up much counter space.

I have a metal pod drawer that sits under it & it still fits underneath my kitchen cabinet.

It's great. I only wish that I had chosen one that I could adjust the temperature of the water. I like by tea hotter than the Keurig gets it, but it's no big thang.

It does brew a carafe pod, but I have never bought any of the pods for that. I did buy the carafe. :}

Re: Need Suggestions for a Keurig

We use the mini Keurig. It only brews one cup and this model doesn't store the water. It just skeeves me out leaving water in the bigger Keurigs to use at a later date. Yuck.

@ID2 ~ your post made me chuckle...you used the word "skeeve."  I've never heard this word mentioned on this board, and I use it often!  Are you by chance an east coast girl?

Re: Need Suggestions for a Keurig

I have an iCoffee.  I got tired of my Keurigs failing all the time.  I was constantly having to scrape the needle and various things to get them to work.  You can use any of the k-cups with the iCoffee.  I buy my pods from Rogers Family Coffee because they are biodegradeable.  I really like the coffee, too.

I use distilled water, so it's no skeevier than having it sit in a jug. LOL

Re: Need Suggestions for a Keurig

After my 2nd Keurig quit, I didn't even bother trying to clean it or whatever to make it work.  I bought a $40 Hamilton Beach Flex Brew and I am so happy with it. The pods are cheaper than the k-cups.  It makes one cup of coffee any size you want.  It doesn't hold the water.  I haven't had to do any maintenance on it so far and I've used it for probably a year.

The pods come in flavors, but not near as many as the k-cups.  I also can't buy them as many places as the k-cups.  I order them online for more selection.  Amazon has them, but they aren't the cheapest place.

I know you didn't ask for advice on which coffee maker brand to get, but thought I'd throw that out.
