Re: Need Recommendations For A Non Bitter Green Tea

Late late year, I developed pneumonia.  I have never been so sick in my life!  For some reason, whenever I get sick, I lose my taste for coffee.  Well, I was sick for so long due to the pneumonia that I lost my taste for coffee altogether and started drinking tea.  Over the past year, I've become quite the tea connoisseur.  I just can't drink any of the American brands like Lipton and Red Rose because they just taste too whimpy to me.  I have discovered some very good British teas such as Typhoo and P&G Tips.  Anyway, as far as green tea is concerned, I never really liked it.  I always found it bitter.  Last Spring, our family visited Charleston on vacation.  We discovered that the only tea plantation in all of North America is located in Charleston:  the Charleston Tea Plantation.  It was very fascinating to actually see a tea plant (It actually looks like a shrub.) and the way to leaves are processed to produce the different kinds of tea (black, green, oolong, etc.).  The Charleston Tea Plantation Green Tea with Mint is absolutely delicious!  In fact, my husband ordered me 24 boxes of tea from them for my last birthday.  It's that good!  The plantation is now owned by Bigelow tea, but the same flavor teas under the Bigelow name don't taste as good.  Something to consider.
