@haddon9 - I still have a large collection of red polka dot Temp-tations pieces that get used at various points throughout the year but really make a lot of appearances during the holidays in combination with other red and white items. I keep thinking I'd like that pattern to return, but I honestly shouldn't buy any more!  Smiley Very Happy

Those mini bowls are cute. If I didn't aleady have a couple dozen small fruit bowls, I might be tempted. However, with two cabinets full of Fiesta, I don't have any more room for another piece.

I have already given some of my place settings and bowls to two of my grand children.

Also, I have over 100 pieces of the original old Fiesta packed away. Those were all given to me by my grandmother. Those pieces are so much more fragile than the Fiesta that has been made since the 1980's.

The original pieces easily chip if they are bumped.

Re: NEW Fiesta mini bowl

[ Edited ]

UPDATE: In case anyone was like me and wanted these bowls but thought they were overpriced at $11.99, Fiesta has dropped the price to just $9.99, which is a bit more reasonable. I bought three in a recent order and they're scheduled to arrive on Monday (but via FedEx, so probably Tuesday), and I'll let you know if they seem worthwhile.

If you're interested, fiestafactorydirect.com is currently offering free shipping at only $39 (plus their $4.95 handling fee) and has some nice sale prices on a few items and sets as well as good deals on quite a few limited-time-restocked retired pieces and colors.

I got that email and I ordered 2 dinner plates in a xmas pattern that were on sale. I have a few other xmas plates-----luncheon and smaller, for serving and  I hang a few on the wall--like the snowflake ones and the nutcracker tree shaped one. So now I have 2 dinner plates to serve DD and my xmas dinner on---have no room for much more!!

Re: NEW Fiesta mini bowl

Verdict: The mini bowls are adorable! They are truly tiny, but especially if you already have the bistro bowls in the larger sizes, the matchup is great. Here's a pairing of the mini bowls and small bistro bowls:

I also ordered a ramekin cover / coaster, thinking I'd love it and want to get all the colors to add versatility when using my ramekins. Surprisingly, I was not a fan; it didn't fit well on top of the ramekin, and in pondering it, I'm pretty sure that would always be the case due to the way the bottoms of Fiesta pieces typically turn out. But even though it isn't great as a lid, I still think it has value as a coaster or saucer—here's how it looks when paired with a mini bowl and a ramekin:

And finally, in keeping with my "small stuff" theme for this order, I got a shot glass. It is also teeny, and I'm not sure what I'll ever use it for, but for funsies, I used it inverted as a pedestal for a mini bowl. Even though the bottom rim-to-rim setup worked pretty well, you'd definitely want to use poster putty or something to stick them together because the bowl slides around a bit:

plate.jpgThis is the pattern of the 2 dinner plates I just got yesterday--- only the back ground is in white, not ivory and the decor around the rim is colorful not just in blues---I have the  xmas lights theme fiestaware packed away so can't use them this year---but got these at a terriffic sale price of $21.99 !! Usually at least $10+ or more. Have other xmas pieces to go with these too--not this exact pattern but xmas none the less.
