I had 2 of those things---one I got from here and I used that thing for a few years. It did a good job but you have to really whack the thing to get it to cut and then if you get pieces that are too big and whack it--it gets stuck so bad that I needed a knife to get them unstuck!! I finally ruined one of the grates and then tossed it. Tried another brand from HSN last year--that thing was worthless as you know what--on a boar-- and I tossed it out too.

@Luvsmyfam Return your chopper and get your money back. I have had multiple choppers and I don't use any of them anymore. They require pre-cutting so the item fits into the chopper.

No one likes chopping onions but I give myself over to the zen of chopping/slicing and just get the job done. I repeat to myself (slice thin, slice thin) to focus and not rush thru the job with sloppy cutting. It doesn't take long. All you need is a good knife and cutting surface. If you can't stand too long, sit at the table.

Now that I have mastered this I don't mind chopping/slicing veggies as much.

My husband came home with a chopper several months ago, I can't find a picture in the right type to post they are all web pages, anyway if you search on mui vegetable chopper you will see it.

It is amazing! We eat a chopped cucumber, tomatoe and onion salad and the salad takes forever without the chopper when I am making for a dinner party.

You just have to be careful when cleaning it the first time I wasn't careful and got a few cuts on my fingers, its very sharp.

Rival electric food chopper is the one I like. Mine has lasted me for years. Walmart sells them for $14.40. I have tried others but this one has served me best.
