I've had and liked the Williams Sonoma Multicooker for about 6 years. It's made by Cuisinart and I had no issues with it until the 'coating' on the pot insert started peeling off.
So, now I'm faced with ordering a new insert, buying a new slow/multicooker or getting an Instant Pot.
Those of you who have had the IP for a good length of time, what would your recommend? I'm retired and don't cook that much so speed isn't a priority. I have friends who love theirs and friends who used it a while and then stopped using it.
Suggestions anyone?

Sorry but I'm confused. What will you use it for? The Instant Pot is a slow/ multi cooker. I have one and I use it to pressure cook only, it's good but not deserving of all the hype IMHO.

I have a pressure cooker and a multicoooker. I've used the multicooker one time, to steam some asparagus. I use my pressure cooker frequently. It's not that I need speed; it's that I dislike cooking so much I want to be done with it as quickly and easily as possible. You can toss in some meat, other simple ingredients and, with no other effort, have a delicious meal. My PC also slow cooks and I use that about as much as the pressure function.

@Bridgegal I have a Ninja multi cooker and don't even use a pressure cooker anymore. I like that the multi cooker is not a high pot but a wider oval one. I can use it as a stove top cooker, oven, crock pot, steam roaster, steamer. It cleans so easily and I use it at least once or twice a week. The steam roasting cooks meats quickly also. My Ninja has no coating on the pot so nothing to get scratched or peel off.

Thanks!! I remember reading reviews on the Ninja multicooker once and thinking I should get one of those. I'll check them out again.

I have and use both. I actually have two multicookers and three electric pressure cookers, one of which is an Instant Pot. I use the IP weekly and the multicookers in between. I also have four crockpots in different sizes. The Instant Pot isn't the best slow cooker but it is great at all the other functions. I use the multicookers for side dishes and slow cooking, but they aren't as deep as a slow cooker, so I may use either depending on what I'm cooking. I have a 2qt and a 3 qt that I use for smaller meals. I have large family dinners frequently, so they get used for those functions and work things along with cooking while I'm not at home or in a hurry. I figure it is kind of what Ward Clever had June for. A hot meal ready when you got home. I usually prep it the night before and chill, then pop it out of the fridge and into the cooker before I leave. I will also do pressure cooker things when I get home since they cook so much quicker. It just depends on the dish since each does them differently. Get what you will use and can afford. My last multicooker had a ceramic nonstick insert, which I love versus the non-stick Teflon stuff. The IP had a stainless steel pot so I do use it more than the other two because of that.
