Mug Inside Question

My mugs have white insides. Lately they seem to be staining more than usual and more easily than usual. Does this mean something is wearing on the inside. No texture change, no rough spots.... same smooth surface. I know I can clean them, I can bleach them, but they stain so easily I am wondering if age is creating a problem. I have had them for over 10 years.
