Mom's Mayo Drop Biscuits

Good Morning. On page 30 of David's cookbook is a recipe for Mom's Mayo Drop Biscuits. In the intro at the top of the recipe is says the flavor comes from a touch of apple cider vinegar and in the recipe it calls for distilled white vinegar. Which do I use?
