Hello!
I followed a "joy of baking" recipe and doubled it for a bundt pan instead of loaf. I was trying to re-create a dessert we enjoyed at a restaurant recently w/ nutella.
Although the taste was good, the pound cake was abit dense and grainy. In trying to research possible causes, I did not use cake flour. I baked it 1hr @350C. Directions had me mixing eggs, vanilla and milk well. I sifted flour, baking powder and sugar, then added the butter, in small pieces. Egg mix was added in 3 portions.
Did i overmix...2-3 minutes...help. I would love to repeat this with a less grainy texture. Thanks for any advice..i do love to bake..
Rocky
