I have a 5-year-old Kitchen Aid mixer that is leaking grease. Can the mixer be sent back to the company for a re-greasing? If so, details please.

This is a DIY video. From what I understand, it's rather expensive to send it to KA for a repair. Hope this helps.

I would call Kitchen Aid. When my mom passed away I mailed her Kitchen Aid to my home. The person who packed it layed it on its side. When I received it there was oil in the box. I panicked and was so upset.I called Kitchen Aid because I was afraid to turn it on. They were wonderful. She said that the mixer will be ok and she ran through all the speeds with me and the mixer was ok. Great customer service!
