OH YES, we bought the Dill Pickle Salad all the time. Really liked it. Haven't seen it in over a year.
I have a premade Kale salad in the refrigerator now.
But even the selection of the premade salads has decreased. There used to be quite a choice at Sam's. Now it is the same 4 or 5. Costco has 2 premade salads.
The Kale is our favorite, you could probably add chicken to that but your right I havent seen the things you mentioned.

Bad weather in areas that grow produce is the main reason for shortages.
One example: Brazil's orange crop was ruined...and prices of orange juice will be skyrocketing since Brazil is the world's largest exporter of oranges.

I love a great salad. I have many toppings, but I think the warehouse clubs change so frequently, I swear sometimes you can't find the same things twice. Most times I grill peppers, onions and mushrooms. Love them grilled on a salad. And it can reduce the amount of dressing (less calories). I also like the crispy French fried onion rings on it for crunch. (There goes the calorie savings!). We now only belong to BJ's (closest one to me).

I belong to Sams but don't recall pickles. Sorry.

I'm in WV, and have to be aware year round of the season, and what's readily available. Unless you have a greenhouse, growing season is very short in this area. We have one small local market that is open from May to September; the produce he sells comes out of NC.

@drizzellla What I don't get is if the grocery stores carry these items year round why are the wholesale clubs having a supply problem?

You can find pretty much all of those ingredients at Aldi or Lidl.

We have been members for many years to Sam's. I really liked the store. When I was working I always went out to lunch and it was always a rush. After seeing the nice selection of items, I started to make my own salads for lunch. Sam's had such a nice selection of items to put in the salad. Like 5 bean salad, pickled beets, marinated mushrooms, marinated asparagus and marinated artichoke hearts, along with cottage cheese and a large selection of varied fresh produce.
My salads were something that I looked forward to.
Several years later we joined Costco because it was alot closer. The selection of items wasn't nearly as much as Sam's but I didn't care I just stocked up when I went to Sam's.
Now when I go to Sam's or Costco the selection is disappointing. Sam's used to have a choice of at least 5 different types of pickles - whole, sliced, gherkins, spears and bread and butter. Went yesterday - there was one type of pickles. And two types of whole olives. There are artichoke hearts in water. No other jarred items that I used to put in my salad.
Costco is the same. One type of pickles now. There are artichoke hearts in water. And they used to have olive spread but it is now gone. They do have 2 types of whole olives. No other jarred items that would go in a salad.
They both have romaine lettuce and tomatoes. Sam's has more of a selection of fresh produce. Costco it is more hit or miss with their selection.
I am wondering if this is temporary. Since both stores seem to be affected. Or does my salad making days have to learn to live with lots of lettuce and tomatoes.
I went to Sams club yesterday and just fyi they had a 4 bean salad in the jar.

Most of the items are in jars. So I think the wholesale clubs buy one shipment and distribute the item to their stores. If the items aren't big sellers. The items are not bought again by the wholesale club.
It seems like many items that I like turn out to be "one and done" items.

@drizzellla I think you are correct. This is the reason that I don't shop in the warehouse stores for everyday food items.
