I purchased a splatter guard at a kitchen outlet 2 years ago , I still use it no problem, it has the magnets and cleans up like a dream !!!! But I only paid $3.88 for it , just saying .........

I paid more than you did - didn't make me like it anymore.  Hated the thing - food did not heat up quickly.  Thought my plate was going to get 'cooked' before the food got hot.  And...........few times BANG the thing dropped down - scared me to near death.  I don't waste my time with LG.

Pretty bad reviews. Almost as many one star as five star. Sounds dangerous. I have a couple without magnets. They work fine.

I got 2 but not from qvc the big A on line shopping store gave 1 to DD. Both of us the magnet lid didn't stick inside the micro. So I could use it on the top side not in the center & yes the lid fell down & scared me too. I have a plastic lid or use a paper towel much easier. Guess you need a certain type of microwave for that guard.

For no more heating than we have, I just use wax paper.

You can use a wet paper towel over a plate or bowl of food you want to reheat. I use a plastic guard I got at a Dollar Tree years ago. I purchased several.

I also purchased my microwave splatter guards at the dollar store. They work great!

@loriqvc  I've had mine for years and they've held up perfectly.
