Microfiber towels ??

Wasn't sure where this should be posted,but I have question... Do these "wear out", & I mean do they stop working as intended?

They say not to use dryer sheets. I accidently left sheet in dryer & dried m-fiber. I used that towel cleaning glass. I noticed it looked like it was leaving tiny particles of the cloth. It usually cleans glass with no residue of any kind.

Also, anyone use the micofiber sponges? If so how they hold up?
